There are no miniature golden retriever dogs, as this dog reaches the size of 22-24 inches.
The dogs of this breed are rather large and reach 24 inches at the withers. The average size for males is 23 inches and for females – 21.5-22.5 inches; the average weight for dogs is 65-75 pounds and for bitches it is 60-70 pounds. These dogs are symmetrical, powerful and very active. They cannot be kept in an apartment only, because they easily get bored and become destructive. It is a must to have a large fenced yard and an opportunity to walk and train the dog every day.
